Years on stage
Countries, two crowds
The Kenyan American
Hi, I'm David Babu!
I'm a stand-up comedian from Kenya, and I've been making people laugh for 10 years: five on and off back home in East Africa and five on and off here in America. Two countries, two very different crowds, and one thing I've learned on both stages: people laugh hardest when they see themselves in the joke.
That's the comedy I love to do. My style is observational and story-driven, and I dig into race, culture, current events, and the real-life stuff we all live through but rarely say out loud. If it's happening in the world today, there's a good chance it's in my set.
This is where you can find out where I'm performing next and grab tickets before they sell out. And if you catch me after a show, come say hi. I love talking to people. Let's have fun.
